Wheel Workshop Package

This package is tailored for beginners keen on mastering pottery-making skills.

What's included:

• 4 two-hour sessions with an instructor.
• 4 self-practice sessions.
• 10 kg of clay.

Day 1:

• Rams head wedging
• Spiral wedging
• Beginners Wheel throwing

Day one will be focused on centering the clay, understanding the different techniques to pull the walls, and ensuring you have no air bubbles in your wedged clay.

Day 2:

• Advanced wheel throwing
• Tall pieces minimum of 20 cm
• ***At the instructor's discretion, students who demonstrate rapid advancement and a strong grasp of the fundamentals will be transitioned to more advanced techniques.***

Day two will build on your fundamental understanding from day one, allowing you to make larger and taller vessels.

Day 3:

• Trimming

During this session, you will understand the difference between curves and lines that make a vessel stand out. You will be trimming all your pieces.

Day 4:

• Glazing

During each session, you're encouraged to seek answers and inquire about any uncertainties regarding the techniques. We'll be there to provide solutions. Classes are tailored to each individual's schedules. After you have booked, we will contact you regarding your class package scheduling.

How to Book the class dates

Please select a date that would work for you, this will be the day you come in every week at the same time and same day. Example if you select Monday at 12pm your lessons will be everyday on Monday at 12pm for 4 weeks. 

Practice sessions

Practice sessions will be on the same day before or after class if it is convenient for you. If practice sessions do not work on the same day we will discuss in person and have written communications with you before or after you class as to what would work for your schedule.
