4 Weeks Advanced Wheel-Throwing Class: Mastering Larger Forms

Beginner Pottery Package

This 4-week class is designed for advanced potters looking to work with 5 lbs of clay or more on the wheel. Perfect for those eager to push their boundaries, this class builds on the foundational skills taught in the beginner 4-week workshop, with a focus on creating larger, more complex forms.

What’s Included:

• Four 2-hour lecture and practical sessions with an instructor
• Four 2-hour supervised practice sessions with an instructor available for guidance and demonstrations
• 10 kg of Porcelain

Session Breakdown

• Week 1:

  • Wedging 5 lbs. of clay
  • Throwing tall, even cylinders
    

• Week 2:

  • Crafting vases, including long-necked designs
    
    

• Week 3:

  • Trimming large pieces using a chuck
    
    

• Week 4:

  • Glazing techniques for large-scale work

1. Book the date from our booking system that works best for you. This will become your weekly class day.
2. Once you've selected your date, we will contact you to confirm your booking.

Practice Sessions

Practice sessions are typically scheduled on the same day after your class. If same-day practice sessions aren’t feasible, we’ll discuss alternative arrangements with you in person and follow up in writing to ensure the schedule works for you.
